Our Vision, Mission, and Values

Our Spiritual Care Team

Lakeridge Health supports holistic, person-centered care and understands the importance of focusing on the mind, body, and spirit for healing. Our program is aligned with Lakeridge Health’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equity, Accessibility, and Anti-Racism program, and works closely with Volunteer Resources.

Our Spiritual Health Practitioners (formerly called Chaplains) are multi-faith, registered professionals who are part of the inter-professional team. They are available to patients, clients, residents, Essential Partners-in-care, as well as Lakeridge Health staff, physicians, and volunteers.

Confidential services and counselling to help individuals find meaning, connection, hope, and strength within their health-care journey is offered to anyone of any faith, as well as those of no particular faith. The team can provide spiritual and emotional support while respecting each individual’s beliefs. Connections can also be made to a religious/faith leader from the community for specific needs.

CPE Student Participation

We are excited to welcome students and our whole team is committed to your learning and success. Students will be supported to visit various units throughout the facility of their choice and help cover evening and weekend shifts, on rotation. Depending upon enrollment we hope to offer both a full-time summer unit (twelve weeks) from May to July, and a two-day per week program September through March.
