Angela Schmidt is the Director of Experiential and Innovative Learning and the Assistant Professor of Leadership at Knox College

Angela Schmidt, M.A. D.Min, Certified Supervisor-Educator (CASC), Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO), is a faculty member at Knox College. Angela teaches courses in spiritual care and psychotherapy and also facilitates the experiential learning program including theological field education and clinical placements. Her role at Knox College is to develop the Masters in Pastoral Studies degree and serve as faculty advisor to the MPS students. Angela spent twenty years in healthcare as a spiritual care practitioner developing Supervised Pastoral Education programs at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie and at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound. She has taught psychology oriented courses at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary and Redeemer University College and formerly worked as a marriage and family therapist. She has published “Partnerships between Hospital and Community for Spiritual Care” and edited a book entitled ‘Thriving on the Edge’.
